The meteorological station was built as a ClimateLogger Meteo measuring system and is a modular solution based on the LB-490 (or LB-480) controller-recorder and sensors connected via an S300 interface. The facility has a transmission with a measurement server via mobile or stationary internet, thanks to which the data is read and presented in real time. The controller provides power management (mains, backup), battery energy saving, registration and initial data processing.
The installation of an automatic weather station in Ciechanów includes a wide set of sensors. In addition to the standard set of air parameters (temperature, humidity, pressure, wind speed and direction), an air pollution measurement panel is attached: PM2.5, NO2, SO2, CO2, CO and O3. Precipitation, photosynthetically active radiation as well as soil temperature and humidity are also measured. The soil temperature is given at six depths and the humidity at two depths.
The Ciechanów station is powered from a renewable source (photovoltaic panel, wind generator) and from mains supply during periods of solar and wind energy shortage.
The Meteo Ciechanów station was installed at the State Vocational University in Ciechanów. The station area is a dedicated and fenced field with a mast, Stevenson shelter. Data from the Ciechanów station are transferred to the LBX measurement server and LAB-EL meteo hosting, hence available on the network at https://meteo.puzim.edu.pl/. The measurement results are also presented on a large monitor in the building of the owner of the installation.
